A SURPRISE DOUBLE BILL ON 19 MAY
We have decided to celebrate our victory in the North-Eastern Division Final of the All England Theatre Festival by arranging an extra local performance on Saturday 19 May of 'LASHINGS OF GINGER ALE' by Stuart G Smith. To make this a special evening, we have invited the Saltburn '53 Drama Group to join us by bringing 'OH, OH MALVOLIO!' along. They will also be performing this at Bishop Monkton (see below!) in the RSC Shakespeare competition later in the month. Details are below - we hope to see you on 19 May
BISHOP MONKTON HERE WE COME!
We are now preparing 'LASHINGS OF GINGER ALE' for the Northern Division of the All England Theatre Awards on Saturday 26 May, at the Bishop Monkton Village Hall, just a couple of miles south of Ripon - postcode HG3 3QG.
The Players are performing in the afternoon session of the competition, which starts at 2 pm, and we are the third of three plays. The evening session (two more plays) begins at 7.30 pm and is followed by the announcement of the results. A limited number of tickets for each session can be reserved by phoning Ian Clarke on 01423 712240 or 07582 760 258, or by emailing ian.clarke33@btinternet.com . They are £8 per session, with a discounted price of £14 for both sessions. If not all pre-allocated tickets are taken up it is possible that there may be some available at the door, but to be sure it would be best to phone early.

'HOBSON'S CHOICE' IS COMING!
Preparations are well underway for our Summer Production, which will be showing (in association with Samuel French Ltd) from Wednesday to Saturday 13 - 16 June. As usual we are eager to welcome anyone willing to help with the set-builds and behind the scenes, so please get in touch.

OUR NEXT SOCIAL EVENING
will be on Thursday 7th June, at the Southern Cross at Marton from 8 pm onwards. Please come along for a pleasant evening with news of how we have fared with 'Lashings of Ginger Ale, and how preparations for 'Hobson's Choice' are going.
2012 IS OUR 50th ANNIVERSARY!
Nunthorpe Players started life in 1962, and to mark our anniversary we are very keen to let people know about our history, so if you were previously a member of the Players and have mementos such as old programmes, cast lists, pictures, reviews or other memorabilia, please do let us know so that we can get them together.
