The Producer leads the production team, recruits the other members of the production team, sorts out rights, royalties, local authority license etc., agrees, allocates and monitors the budget, calls and chairs production meetings (usually starting 4 - 6 weeks before the production) obtains or borrows any furniture or other special items and organises car park security.

The Stage Manager attends later rehearsals to become familiar with the production, helps with stage setting during rehearsals, takes charge backstage from technical rehearsal to last performance, recruits and briefs backstage staff, organises scene changes, ensuring co-ordination with props, sets the stage before performances and tidies it at the end, ensures that the performance starts on time and that the interval duration is maintained, maintains discipline back stage, obtains and operates special effects.

The Set Constructor recruits set builders and painters, arranges times and dates for set building, obtains necessary materials, supervises construction, with particular regard to safety, makes sure that the church hall is left clean and tidy after every building session, organises set breaking, again with regard to safety but also making sure that everything is stored in good condition and in the right place, monitors and controls the set budget.

The Set Painter carries out any specialist scene painting.

The Lighting Supervisor sets up the lights and lighting equipment, hires spotlights or other special lights, recruits and briefs spotlight operators, agrees lighting effects with the director, operates the lighting board from technical rehearsal onwards, ensures that electrical and other safety requirements are met.

The Sound Supervisor agrees the sound effects and incidental music with the director, obtains the necessary effects, sets up the sound equipment and operates it from technical rehearsal onwards.

Props - a props list is agreed with the director, the props are obtained, borrowed or made, the props table is kept tidy and all the props checked before and after each performance, the relevant personal props are provided to the actors during the performance.
