A CHANGE OF VENUE FOR OUR NEXT SOCIAL EVENING
This will still be on Thursday 2nd February as planned, but for this month only will be at the Brunton Arms, Stainton Way from 8 pm in the bar on the Marton side of the pub. This is because we understand that the Southern Cross is closed this week. It's your chance give us your views on the Panto, and to hear about our plans for our 50th Anniversary Year 2012. Please do come along!
BOOK NOW FOR OUR SPRING CEILIDH
on Saturday 25th February next, with dancing to The Endeavour Ceilidh Band, and a Pie and Peas Supper or a vegetarian or gluten-free option included in the price of £10 per head. The details are on the poster below, so put the date in your diary and reserve your tickets as soon as you can. Numbers are strictly limited, and we are asking that you pay in advance so that we can book the catering.
2012 IS OUR 50th ANNIVERSARY!
Nunthorpe Players started life in 1962, so we intend to celebrate 2012, our Golden Jubilee Year in a variety of ways. One of these will be with our June production of 'Hobson's Choice', one of the shows we put on in our first year. Our Future Productions page contains more details of read-through and audition dates.
AN EXTRA PRODUCTION!
Our Future Productions page also has information on 'LASHINGS OF GINGER ALE', the one-act play we are planning as our entry in the Saltburn Amateur Drama Competition in March this year. We will be auditioning very soon on Wednesday 8 February and a read-through the day before, Tuesday 7th. For more details and the calendar go to the Future Productions and diary pages.
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
To mark our anniversary we are also very keen to let people know about our history, so if you were previously a member of the Players and have momentos such as old programmes, cast lists, pictures, reviews or other memorabilia, please do let us know so that we can get them together.
